Rapids Antiques

The building in the historic town of Grand Rapids, Ohio, that now houses Village Apothecary was built in 1896 for Pharmacist Azor Thurston, and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. It has remained a drug store throughout the years, and the 6th
owner of the pharmacy is Mark Marenberg, R.Ph. The antiques room of the pharmacy was originally Thurston’s library,
and contained one of the largest purely private collections of standard medical, scientific and technical works in the country at the time.

Today, Village Apothecary carries a varied selection of vintage memorabilia and collectibles.
The ever-changing inventory includes glassware, pottery, postcards, primitives, smalls, toys,
and, especially, advertising.
